Questions and Answers
Q: What makes your transmission power flush machine so different from all the rest?
A: It is the only one on the market that does not incorporate dilution as part of the process. Our machine provides a straight exchange of old fluid for new.
How does dilution work? Let's say a transmission holds 12 quarts of fluid. The standard service only swaps out about four quarts, or one-third of the total. Some machines actually flood until the fluid looks better.
Remember, 75% of the fluid is not in the pan. Most of it is in the torque converter and the rest is in the valve body, heat exchanger and cooling lines. When you cut into the coolant lines using the standardized ATF flush, you're only swapping out the four quarts, or one third.
Even if you're flooding, you're still only diluting. Our transmission flushing service does a real 100% ATF exchange. Others say they do a 100% swap, but if you read their literature or see it done, you are still just diluting. With ours, all the old fluid comes out, followed by new.
Q: How many people does it take to use our machine?
A: One. Q: Your machine requires I drop the pan. I have reservations about that.
A: Our machine is only for the best shops, for the elite. If you base your reputation on delivering the best, even if it means taking a few more minutes, even if it means you stock the better seals, then you might be the shop whose standards match our machine. The TransAction 2.5 is not for everyone.
Dropping the pan gives you the chance to clear out the debris and gunk, analyze it for potential problems and an opportunity to report your analysis to the customer to tell them why the transmission needs your further services for repair or a rebuild.
To be blunt, when you honestly evaluate their old fluid, and there really are problems, you have the chance to convert a simple service into a repair or rebuild. Since one out of every four vehicles coming in have problems severe enough to warrant repairs, you have a golden opportunity to save them from breaking down who knows where on the road, and it makes you more money.
Even if you provide power flushes only, you can educate your customers on why they get superior service when they come to you, building trust.
Q: But if I drop the pan, that means I have to use a lift. Does it really only take one person?
A: Only one person, yes. We have buzzers to tell you when to do things. If you’re that concerned, call me, I’ll explain. If you don’t have a lift, we have adapters.
Q: But when I drop the pan, sometimes the seals crack when we put it back and customers complain of leaks. Then we have to do service all over again. That’s not worth it. How do I fix that?
A: Easy. If you are a top shop then you already know about superior seals that are well made. If you use good seals, they are not prone to cracking and leaks.
Also when you put back the pan, have your mechanics set their power tools on a lower setting to not blast the pan back on, creating splits in the seals. If you’ve read this far, you probably run a quality shop; your mechanics know that’s what tool settings are for.
Ask yourself this. Do you want to do what's right for the vehicle? Or are you satisfied to just provide Band-Aid service? Top shops and mechanics love their profession and want to provide the real deal. Are you that shop?
Q: What’s contained in your ATF flush machine?
A: The machine holds two tanks inside; one for waste, one for fresh fluid. The outside is made of a non-scratch plastic that can’t hurt vehicle finishes. It’s on rollers for easy movement. It is run by a small on-board computer with buzzers to tell you when to do things. It has gauges to tell how much fluid you have in the tanks. It has three adapters, and you mainly use just one.
The transmission’s own pump carries the fluid through, just like it’s running down the road. Easy to run, clean to use, simple to swap fluids.
The User Manual is short and well written in plain English broken down into each step. It’s clear enough for a novice to understand.
Q: I don't know if I want to get another kind of power flush machine. We don't want to learn another machine.
A: Ours is so well designed it is actually simple to use. They only have to learn it once and they’ve got it. The instructions for use are very well written, not just tossed off. Here's what that means for you:
To start with there are only three adaptors. Only one of them is what you will use for the majority of the vehicles you service. No more diving for the manual to see which adaptor to use every time a vehicle comes in. No more aggravation trying to keep track of so many parts.
You don't have to wonder if they actually did the transmission service because it's so easy and fast to use. If anyone ever lies about whether or not they did the transmission flush, it won't be because our machine was too much of a hassle to deal with!
Q: I like the idea, but I already have a machine that uses the dilution method. Why should I buy yours? A: 1. Knowing you can now perform the safe, actual 100% ATF fluid exchange. Ethics of giving the customers what they think they’re getting. Personal pride for great work and elite reputation.
2. Increased sales for extra business --- remember all those transmission repair jobs you’ll find.
3. High customer satisfaction. Your most discerning customers will take pride in letting others know they discovered where they can get the best service in town if you educate them on what you bought.
4. Puts you and your customers ahead of the competition.
5. Get with the 21st Century. You don’t have to use old-fashioned technology that standardized too early on the dilution method.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Similar to some of our competitors.
Q: What are your terms?
1: Cash or half down, half on delivery.
For the best of you, the machine whose time has come
